Meet the Staff

Alvaro has been working as a veterinary technician at Terra Vista Animal Hospital since September 2007. He moved to the area from Las Vegas, Nevada where he gained most of his experience. A native of Santiago, Chile, Alvaro is a fluent Spanish speaker and enjoys literature, soccer, snowboarding and drumming in many styles (double bass and jazz are two favorites). At home, Alvaro takes care of Gypsy, a 3 year old female cat. His future plans are to continue his vet tech education, bartending and general self improvement.
Ashley is a part-time receptionist at Terra Vista Animal Hospital, while working to complete her nursing degree in June 2015.  Although born and raised in Riverside, she lived in Texas for several years, graduating from high school there before returning to her native California.  She has volunteered at the Animal Shelter in Riverside, and currently spends her free time with her Dachsund, Ginger and her Chihuahua, Sage.  She also enjoys making jewelry.  
Autumn has been working as a receptionist at Terra Vista Animal Hospital since November 2013, while also attending Riverside Community College.  She hopes to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Animal Science and work in Animal Behavior.  She enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family, watches movies and sports and loves to take road trips.  
Brianne has been in the animal health field since 2002.  Born and raised in Southern California, she graduated from the University of Phoenix with her Bachelor's in Business Management.  She has 2 kids, her son Shane and her daughter Charlee that she loves spending time with, as well as 2 dogs, Shiloh and Lilly.  In her spare time she enjoys crafting and riding horses.  
Christy has been working in the veterinary field since 1996 and has been working for Terra Vista Animal Hospital since November 1999, although she has taken some time off to stay home and help raise her 2 sons, Jacob and Brady, with her husband Joe.  She enjoys the company of their dog Dexter and their 2 cats, Ripley and Ashe. When she's not busy with the boys she enjoys spending time with extended family, going to the park, fishing, hiking and gardening.  
Local to the area, Cindy grew up in Upland and attended St. Lucy’s Priory High School in Glendora. Employed as a part-time receptionist since December 2006, Cindy brings 21 years of previous animal health related experience to Terra Vista Animal Hospital. At home she enjoys the company of her two sons, Nick and Andrew, and her dog Brady.
Employed as a Technician Assistant since December 2013, Gabriel is local to the area and a graduate of Chino Hills High School and Mt. San Antonio College.  He enjoys reading and writing, running, baseball and ice hockey and is a big Star Wars fan.  He has two dogs, Odee and Nala and enjoys teaching them pet tricks.
Upland native Laura has been working in the animal related field for 10 years.  She keeps busy with her children, Cameron and Carina, as well as their pets, dog Maggie, and cats Moe and Lloyd.  In her spare time, Laura enjoys hiking, cooking and spending time at the beach.
Maggie is a full-time registered veterinary technician who has been with Terra Vista Animal Hospital since January 2006, and brings years of experience in the veterinary profession with her. Maggie is originally from New York, but was raised in nearby Whittier. During the early 1990’s, Maggie received her Associates Degree in animal science from Mt. San Antonio College where she was on the Dean’s List. She is also certified in dentistry from the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians.
With her husband John, an RN and clinical supervisor, they have two children, Shane and Sarah. They also enjoy the company of their two dogs, Cookie and Spencer, and cat, Willow. When not working, she can be found playing tennis or golf, going deep sea fishing and spending time with friends and family. She is also a member of the SPCA and Wildlife Defenders organizations and speaks to school groups about careers in the animal health industry.
Nicole has been a receptionist at Terra Vista Animal Hospital since June 2015.  She is studying Food Marketing and Agribusiness Management at Cal Poly Pomona and is actively involved in the school's intercollegiate Horse Show Association and along with her team has been ranked nationally.  In her free time she can be found at the barn with her BLM Mustang Nayeli or hiking with her Miniature Australian Shepard Levi.
Shawna is currently attending both Mt. San Antonio and Chaffey Colleges, working towards her degree in Animal Science and the opportunity to eventually attend veterinary school.  In her spare time, she volunteers at both the Rancho Cucamonga and Upland animal shelters.  She enjoys participating in local 5K charity runs as well as watching movies, doing homework and baking.  Shawna has one cat named Gus. 
Born in Texas and raised in San Bernardino, Susana is a receptionist at Terra Vista Animal Hospital.  She has worked in the animal health field for 4 years, and has spent many hours volunteering for the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley where she was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for her many hours of service.  She enjoys baking, cooking and drawing, as well as spending time with her 3 Jack Russell mixes.
A native Californian, Sydney is a Registered Veterinary Technician, and has been employed by Terra Vista Animal Hospital since 2012.  Raised in Pasadena, her father served as Mayor from 1977-78, providing her the opportunity to ride in the world famous Rose Parade!  She attended both Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly Pomona, taking classes in animal science. Her son is currently studying engineering at Chaffey College.  She has 2 rescue cats, Charlie and Ziggy, and enjoys billiards, off-roading and floating in a pool.  
Tiffany received her certificate as a Veterinary Assistant from Westech College in 2015 and began working in that role at Terra Vista Animal Hospital in May of the same year.  She and her boyfriend Ed have 3 children ages 14, 10 and 5, as well as a menagerie of animals.  The family pets include 4 dogs, 1 cat, an iguana, a tortoise, and a pond full of red eared slider turtles, koi, catfish and frogs.  Born in San Diego and raised in Phelan, Tiffany enjoys dirt bike riding/off roading, camping, hiking, drive in movies and sporting events.  
Having received her certificate in Veterinary Assisting, Tish is now a full time Technician Assistant, and has been working at Terra Vista Animal Hospital since 2013.  She volunteers her time at the Upland Animal Shelter and stays busy with her 6 year old son, Gavin, and their 2 dogs, Gatsby and Clawdius. She enjoys hiking, photography, gardening and crafts.
